How to use Plasma Cutting Machine

Use and operation of Plasma Cutting Machine:
1. Precautions for installation
(1) Install the equipment in a dry, clean and well-ventilated place.
(2) The equipment should have a protective zero connection, that is, connect the chassis part to the zero line of the three-phase four-wire (products with power plugs are internally connected when they leave the factory).
(3) The power supply of the power grid in the workplace should be normal without excessive fluctuations, otherwise the equipment cannot guarantee normal operation.
(4) The schematic diagram of equipment installation is shown in Figure 4:
1) The power incoming line is connected to a three-phase switch of suitable capacity provided by the user. The three-phase switch should be equipped with a fuse that meets the requirements and cannot be arbitrarily amplified. The three-phase switch should be dedicated to the cutting machine.
2) The air source is connected to the inlet end of the filter pressure reducing valve on the rear panel of the cutting cabinet through the air supply pipe, that is, the left side connector facing the pressure gauge.
3) Clamp the working ground chuck of the cutting machine (the positive output end of the cutting power supply) on the workpiece.

2. Operation:
(1) Preparation for operation
1) Check that the external power supply is correct.
2) Check that the ground wire of the workpiece is clamped on the workpiece.
3) Connect the air source and discharge the stagnant water.
4) Check that the power switch is in the off position.
5) Close the main power supply switch of the power grid. At this time, the fan starts to work. Pay attention to check the wind direction. The wind should blow inward. Otherwise, the main transformer cannot be ventilated and cooled, which will shorten the working time.
6) Turn the power switch on the panel to the "on" position, and the power indicator light is on. At this time, compressed air should flow out of the torch. Pay attention to whether the pointer of the pressure gauge of the filter pressure reducing valve is at the position of 0.2-0.4 MPa, if the pressure does not match,
When the gas is flowing, adjust the upper knob of the pressure gauge of the filter pressure reducing valve. Turn it clockwise to increase the pressure, and vice versa.
7) Let the gas circulate for a few minutes to remove the condensed water vapor in the welding torch.
(2) Cutting operation
1) When the cutting torch is in contact with the workpiece, press the button to cut. You can start cutting from the edge of the workpiece. When the thickness of the plate is not large, you can also start cutting at any point of the workpiece. The torch can be perpendicular to the workpiece or slightly inclined to one side,
But when opening in the middle of the workpiece, the cutting torch should be slightly inclined to one side in order to blow off the molten metal and cut through the metal.
2) Press the handle button and keep the main circuit connected while the high-frequency oscillator works until the cutting arc is formed, and the high-frequency oscillator stops working. After that, the cutting torch can be used for cutting. At the same time, the cutting indicator light is on.
3) When cutting, you must cut through the metal before moving evenly, otherwise the nozzle will be damaged. Moving speed too fast or too slow will affect the cutting quality.
4) Adjustment of cutting air pressure: Too high cutting air pressure and excessive flow will affect the cutting thickness. If the cutting air pressure is too small, the service life of the nozzle will be affected.
5) Before lifting the cutting torch and leaving the workpiece, the handle button must be turned on. At this time, the plasma arc is extinguished and the cutting process stops.
6) During the cutting process, the arc is extinguished because the cutting torch is more than 2 mm away from the workpiece, and the arc needs to be restarted.
7) When the temperature of the main transformer exceeds 110°C due to the connection working time is too long, the thermal control protection switch will act, and the equipment will automatically shut down and cannot be started. The transformer can be restarted after cooling down.
8) Always remove the water in the filter pressure reducing valve, that is, turn the screw at the lower part of the screw counterclockwise to remove the water before tightening. If there is too much water in the compressed air, you should consider adding a filter valve between the filter pressure reducing valve and the air source, otherwise it will affect the cutting quality
9) When the workpiece is not being cut, press the torch button as little as possible to avoid damage to the parts.
10) After cutting all the workpieces, cut off the power switch and air supply valve.
(3) Cutting failure
1) Cannot cut through:
A: The thickness of the sheet exceeds the applicable scope of the equipment.
B: The cutting speed is too fast.
C: The torch tilt is too large.
D: The compressed air pressure is too large or too small.
E: The grid voltage is too low.
2) The plasma arc is unstable:
A: The cutting torch moves too slowly.
B: The power supply is two-phase power supply, and the working voltage is reduced.
C: The compressed air pressure is too high
