1. Press Brake Die Damage

Die damage of bending machine refers to die cracking, breaking, expanding, etc. to deal with the problem of die damage of bending machine, we must find out the reasons from the aspects of die design, manufacturing process and die use.
First of all, it is necessary to check whether the manufacturing materials of the bending machine die are suitable and whether the corresponding heat treatment process is reasonable. Generally, the heat treatment process of die material has a great influence on it. If the quenching temperature of the die is too high, the quenching method and time are unreasonable, and the tempering times, temperature and elbow are not properly selected, the die of the bending machine will be damaged after entering the bending production. If the size or depth of the blanking hole is not enough, it is easy to block the slot and damage the blanking plate. If the design of spring force is too small or the height of the sleeve is not equal, the spring will break and the blanking plate will tilt, causing overlapping punching and damaging the parts. Improper fixing of the punch or insufficient strength of the screw will cause the punch to fall or break.
When the bending machine die is used, the position and direction of the parts are wrong or the bolts are not well fastened. The adjustment of working height is too low and the lubrication of guide post is insufficient. Feeding equipment failure, abnormal press, etc., will cause damage to the mold. If foreign matters enter the mold, parts overlap, waste blocking and other situations are not handled in time, and continue processing and production, it is easy to damage the blanking plate, punch, lower template and guide pillar of the mold.

2. Clamping Die

In the process of bending, once the die closing of bending machine is not flexible or even stuck, the production must be stopped immediately to find out the cause of clamping and eliminate the fault. Otherwise, the failure will be enlarged and the bending die will be damaged.

The main causes of clamping are: poor guide and inclination of the die. Or there are foreign matters between the templates, so that the templates cannot be pasted flat; The design of die strength is not enough or the force is uneven. Cause mold deformation, such as mold base, template hardness, thickness design is too small, vulnerable to external force impact deformation; The position of the die is not correct, and the positioning error of the upper and lower die is out of tolerance. Or the accuracy of the press is too poor, so that the mold interference; The strength of the punch is not enough and the position of the big and small punch is too close, which makes the lateral force of the die unbalanced. At this time, the punch strength should be increased to enhance the guiding protection of the discharge plate.

3. Damage and Maintenance of Bending Machine Die

The cost of bending die is high. Generally, the cost of bending die accounts for 1 / 5-1 / 4 of the total cost of parts. This is because, in addition to the mold manufacturing difficulty, high cost. The cost of mold repair and grinding maintenance is also high, and the original cost of the mold only accounts for about 40% of the total cost of the mold. Therefore, timely maintenance of the mold to prevent mold damage can greatly reduce the cost of bending production mold.
